Jaida Cureton – Master Stylist, Educator & Visionary Behind The Jade Experience

From the moment she was a young girl being dropped off at the hair salon in Washington, D.C., Jaida Cureton was captivated by the magic of beauty. Too young to read the magazines, she would study the glamorous hair and fashion images—and watch in awe as everyday women walked in and left transformed: radiant, confident, and glowing with self-assurance.

That early spark ignited a lifelong passion not just for hairstyling, but for helping people look and feel their absolute best. For Jaida, beauty has always been a powerful form of self-care, self-expression, and empowerment—and she considers it an honor to walk alongside clients on their personal beauty journeys.

Her haircare education journey began in Portsmouth, Virginia, where she trained under seasoned professionals with over 80 years of combined experience in Beauty Culture. But the true test of her talent and dedication came under the mentorship of Mr. Earnest Andrews, a Richmond legend and the first African American salon owner in the prestigious Carytown neighborhood. One pivotal day, Mr. Andrews surprised Jaida by inviting his mother—a veteran stylist—to watch her perform a full natural hair service. Under the pressure of multiple expert eyes, Jaida delivered with grace, and her mentor’s approving nod became the moment she knew: she was ready.

Now a certified L’Oréal Hair Colorist, Editorial Stylist, and licensed Cosmetology Instructor, Jaida brings over two decades of mastery to her salon, her clients, and her team. She has trained globally with icons like Ted Gibson (NYC & L.A.), Kris McDred (Dubai), and Mazella & Palmer (UK), staying on the cutting edge of beauty innovation.

At Jade Multicultural Salon, Jaida offers more than just services—she curates The Jade Experience: a luxurious, culturally inclusive, and transformative beauty journey. Whether you sit in her chair, consult with her virtually, or shop her salon-grade hair care line, one thing is certain: with Jaida, beauty is personal, powerful, and for everyone.
